event2mobile recently completed Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) examination under AT Section 101, Attest Engagements (AICPA, Professional Standards) for the period June 1, 2015 through January 15, 2016. The Audit was performed by an independent auditing firm.
Completion of the SOC 2 Type II examination indicates that selected event2mobile processes, procedures and controls have been formally evaluated and tested by a certified accounting and auditing firm. The examination includes evaluation of controls of event2mobile in line with Trust Services Principles and Criteria of Security and Confidentiality.
An SOC 2 examination is performed in accordance with AT Section 101, Attest Engagements (AICPA, Professional Standards). SOC 2 is designated as an acceptable method for a user entity’s management to obtain assurance about service organization’s internal controls over Security and Confidentiality without conducting additional assessments.
“Security is a big concern for any Enterprise, before implementing an app for its internal events and employee training programs. Having more than 50% of clients under Large Enterprises category, SOC 2 examination adds one more layer of assurance on internal processes we follow”, said Siddharth Jhunjhunwala, CEO of event2mobile.
A SOC 2 examination is widely recognized, because it represents that a service organization has been through an evaluation of their control activities according to the applicable Trust Services Principles and Criteria. A Type II report not only includes the service organization’s system description, but also includes detailed testing of the design and operating effectiveness of the service organization’s controls.
Varun Kashiv, Director of Business Solutions, said “Successful SOC 2 examination can really boost buyer confidence in terms of data security and confidentiality.” He pointed out, “event2mobile is the first company in event app market space to successfully complete SOC2 Type 2 Examination.” event2mobile, a WS group company, has been helping the world’s leading banks, financial services companies, government bodies, associations and Global 2000 companies to use mobility as a disruptive force to drive powerful engagement and learning through their events.
